Create a New Task in the Measure Tool

Updated over a year ago

Adding Tasks in the Measure Tool can be a great way to communicate with your team members or for setting reminders for you yourself. Let's take a look how to create a Task in the Measure Tool

Begin by navigating to the specific project you're working on within the system. Once you've opened your Project, locate and select the Measure Tool.

Before creating a task, ensure you have selected the appropriate Page within the Measure Tool where the task is relevant. Now click the ‘Tasks’ menu button . It’s located on the left hand side above the 'Back' button.

Clearly define what Task needs to be accomplished. This might involve taking specific measurements, reviewing measurement data, or other actions related to project planning and execution. Once you've done this, select the 'Add Task' button.

Once you've selected the 'Add Task' button you will now see your brand new Task below. If you complete the Project you can select the checkbox to the right of the Task to cross it off the list, or if the Task is no longer relevant you can select the Delete button.

Creating a task within the Measure Tool is straightforward and enhances project management by tying specific actions directly to your project's measurements. By following these steps, you ensure that nothing is overlooked and that every measurement-related task is accounted for, contributing to the overall success and accuracy of your project.

Pro Tip

Tasks within the Measure Tool are Page specific. It is best practice that if someone else is to complete the Task you have created that you let them know you have created a Task within the Measure Tool and what Page it can be found on.

Alternatively you could create a Task against the Project itself and assign it to a specific User.
