Atlas, is an AI map powered by your unique knowledge and data. You can share your Atlas map with your community, customers or users so that they can explore your map and ask personalized questions. For example, you can create custom AI trip planners, local apps, or local directories and knowledge chat bots.
Atlas works on desktop, mobile and on embeds. Atlas works on top of PamPam maps, so all you need is a map of spots in order to create an Atlas. Your users will have to log in to PamPam in order to use your Atlas. Logging in works on embeds too.
How does it work?
Atlas uses AI to understand the information in your map, and then create answers and lists accordingly. At times, it may bring in relevant information not on your map, as provided by ChatGPT and Wikipedia.
When you share your map, users will can ask questions and chat with your map. They will have to log in to PamPam in order to use your Atlas. Logging in works on embeds too.
How do I test or create an Atlas?
Any PamPam user can test Atlas on their map, but you'll need a Business plan to make it fully available to your users.
To turn it on:
Make sure you're on desktop
Go to an existing map. Or create a new map (see other articles to learn how to create a map)
For best results, make sure your map has over 30 spots, and that every spot has a description filled out.
Go to "edit" mode using the top right toggle
In the toolbar click the map display black leather pouch
Click on on "Atlas"
That's it!
You can test Atlas, and if you're happy with it - just share the link. If you're not a fan, remember to switch back to "Classic" mode.

How can I customize my Atlas?
At the moment, you can't customize the title, description or prompt suggestions in your Atlas. Those are AI generated from your map title and description. Make sure your map title and description are filled out and what you want them to be, to get the best generated results. You can customize the map like any other PamPam map ( colors, pins, icons, etc)
Why do users have to log in?
At the moment, users have to log in, in order to monitor the message limits. Please let us know if this is a blocker for you here.
What are the message limits?
On non-business plans, you can test Atlas and even share it. However, you will run into limits quickly in terms of how many messages you can send, it's really only for testing services.
On Business and Advanced plan, your Atlas can receive up to ~10k messages per day. Please contact us if you need more than this.
Can I add an Atlas to my website?
Yes, you can embed your Atlas anywhere that allows for an iFrame. It will work on mobile and desktop. Users will have to log in to PamPam to use it, but that can also happen through embeds. We recommend embedding the Atlas at a full view without a footer, so that it looks more native to your website.
