This article will walk you through how to set release dates and due dates for chapters, assignments, and quizzes. Setting release dates can be a useful tool to prevent students from reading ahead or take quizzes too far in advance. Setting due dates on interactive assessments will prevent students from being able to access a quiz after the set due date.

When signed into your panOpen account click on the My Classes tab, to display all of your active courses.

From your class list on the left, select the class you'd like to set due dates or release dates for.

Then click on the Book Analytics tab, which will display the full table of contents with option to set desired due dates and release dates.

From this view, you have the option to set a release date for the entire chapter, or for any amount of sections.

If you check off the empty box next to any chapter, you will automatically select everything within that chapter. (You can confirm this by clicking the plus symbol to expand the entire chapter) In this case you can click Set Date.

If you have selected one or more sections within a chapter, click on Set Release Date to display the option to set a specific date and time for that content to become available to students.

This works the same for setting due dates, you can click the empty box for any chapter to select every assessment within the chapter. Or you can expand any chapter and click the empty box for individual assessments.

Once you have your desired assessments selected, click on Due Date to display the option to set a specific date for students to complete those assessments.

Once release dates and due dates are set, you have the option to remove or change that date as well. Simply check off the box again for the data you would like to adjust and click on Release Date or Due Date from the column. When the display opens, you can click on the cancel symbol to remove the date, or set a new date and time to adjust the current date.
