This article will give you an overview of the student interface.

Upon signing into your account you will be taken to your textbook reader, there are a lot of different tools built into your student interface to help you navigate through your panOpen course.

Let's start by clicking on the three white horizontal lines on the top left of your screen.

This will open up a window that displays the full table of contents to the left. At the top of that window you can see that it says Table of Contents and to the right it says Menu.

The expanded table of contents allows you to navigate anywhere in the book by simply dicking on a section title. If you click the plus symbol to expand a chapter you will see all the content available within that chapter and clicking on the section title will take you to that spot in your digital text.

You can also navigate to any interactive quizzes by clicking the take icon to the left of the quiz title. By clicking on the quiz title itself, you will be able to review any previous attempts for that quiz.

The menu displays options to view your Notes and Highlights, toggle Display Marks for those annotations, adjust the Reader Width, and review Analytics for your online course.

In addition, the book attached to this class will display when clicking on the menu. If there are multiple books for one class you will be able to toggle between them from the menu as well.

To exit the table of contents and menu view, simple click the 3 horizontal lines again to close it out.

Now back in the full view of your course reader, let's review the other features built into the course reader. To the right of the screen you will see pencil icon, a magnifying glass, a print icon, a gear icon, a question mark, and a power button icon.

The pencil icon will open up the same Notes & Highlights view from the Menu, giving you the opportunity to review any previously highlighted material or saved annotations.

The print icon will allow you to print whatever section of the book you are currently in.

From the print window that opens up, you can also save the section you're in as a PDF. Simply click to open the PDF, then save it to your computer.

The magnifying glass icon will allow you to search your text.

The gear icon will open up your account settings so you can update your email or password.

You also have the option to toggle between the different user experiences.

From this page you will also be able to change your course if you are registered for multiple classes on panOpen.

The question mark will display the help overlays for your interface, and lastly, the power button icon will log you out of you account.
