Single Sign-on LMS integration with Canvas

If you would like to set up a single sign on with Canvas, please read the instructions below

Access the Canvas course you are looking to utilize

Step 1.) Click Settings

Step 2.) Click +App

Step 3.) Enter in the information in the following screenshot

  1. Configuration Type: Manual Entry

  2. Name: panOpen OER Courseware  

  3. Consumer Key: Please contact panOpen (support@panopen.com) to gain access to your Consumer Key 

  4. Shared Secret: Please contact panOpen (support@panopen.com)  to gain access to your Shared Secret 

  5. Launch URL: Please contact panOpen (support@panopen.com) to receive your Launch URL

  6. Domain: Please enter the first portion of your panOpen Launch URL (app.willolabs.com)

  7. Privacy: Public

Once the application is completed we now add a “Module”.  To do this we click “Home” in Canvas to get to the course you are looking to add the textbook to.

Select “External Tool”

Click “panOpen OER Courseware”, which was the “App” you created in the earlier step.

Make sure to check the box for "Load in a new tab".

Click "Add Item"
