Site-wide Configuration
These instructions assume that you have received the necessary site-wide configuration data including the panOpen URL, Consumer key and secret. If you need this information please contact support@panopen.com
Sign in to Moodle as an Administrator
From the Site Administration left navigation menu select Plugins > Activity Modules > External Tool > Manage tools
Click the “configure a tool manually” link
Please note that the click-path may vary depending on the version of Moodle being used. Previously, it was: Site Administration > Plugins > Activity Modules > LTI > Manage External Tool Types > Add External Tool Configuration.
Populate the form with the values provided:
Tool Settings
•Tool Name: panOpen OER Courseware
•Tool Base URL: Provided by the Implementation Team
•Consumer Key: Provided by the Implementation Team
•Consumer Secret: Provided by the Implementation Team
•Custom Parameters: Leave Empty
•Show tool type when creating tool instances: Checked
•Default Launch Container: Per your preference
•Icon URL: Leave Empty
•Secure Icon URL: Leave Empty
Privacy
•Share launcher's name with tool: Always
•Share launcher's email with tool: Always
•Accept grades from the tool: Delegate to teacher
•Force SSL: Recommended
Miscellaneous
•Organization ID: Not Required
•Organization URL: Not Required
Click "Save Changes"
