How to set up or reset your voicemail password

To reset your voicemail password (pin):

  1. Type #793# into the dialer app on your phone

  2. Tap the "call" button

You will receive a text confirmation that your voicemail password has been reset, similar to this one:

T-Mobile: Your voicemail PIN has been reset. Your new PIN is 06223268. If you did not request this change, please call Customer Care for assistance.

Still having issues?

On iPhone

Try force restarting the iPhone as follows:

  1. Press and quickly release the volume up button.

  2. Press and quickly release the volume down button.

  3. Press and hold the side button.

  4. When the Apple logo appears, release the side button.

On Android

Use T-Mobile's Visual Voicemail app on Android (or use the stock Visual Voicemail app already present on the phone):

  1. Download T-Mobile's Visual Voicemail app for Android https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tmobile.vvm.application&pcampaignid=web_share

  2. Use the app to manually set a pin in-app

  3. Call yourself to verify the pin you set with the visual voicemail app
