While Pantone Color Manager is a stand-alone desktop application that was locally installed on a per computer basis, Pantone Connect is a cloud-based application that supports your Pantone color workflows across different design platforms, including Adobe Creative Cloud. As a key difference, Pantone Color Manager requires an export of color libraries into Adobe, while Pantone Connect sits within Adobe and allows you to iterate, search, and convert colors directly within your design file. Pantone Connect is meant to make designing with color a fast and easy experience. Pantone Color Manager is no longer available and will not receive updates or tech support after 2022.
