We want to be a support to all of you out there working in the world of color. We are living in a world where people need to understand better what is going on with color and how to use color, how to commoditize color and make the most of color. We want to inspire and inform, to get you thinking about color and how you will use color in your product sector, to empower you by providing education and information that will lead to more effective color decisions.

Color is the single most powerful communication tool, influencing up to 85% of ideas and product purchasing decisions and increasing brand recognition by 87%. With about 80% of human experience filtered through the eyes, visual cues are essential to getting a message across. Nothing does that better than the thoughtful use of color. Color has the power to distinguish a brand from its competition, sending non-verbal messages that subliminally influence perception.

Color related decisions require a very thoughtful and strategic approach as this single most important element in reflecting mood and style is also perhaps the most challenging aspect of design. From the selection process to the context in which the color or color story appear, the material or surface to which the color is applied and even more importantly our hopes and expectations of how people will react to those choices, there are so just many things to consider. Pivotal in the design process and an essential part of any successful design strategy, color should be considered from the moment materials are being developed. Color should be a conscious part of every level of decision making, from the raw materials that go into the product to the packaging it leaves the store in. Never has this been so important, when design is being increasingly led by color and material and less by shape and form.
