The PAR Golf app is as detailed as you want to get when tracking your golf data, but let's be honest, not all of us want to track every putt to the foot. If you don't like pacing out your putts, struggle to multiply by 3 or for any other reason prefer not to get that detailed... Then this new feature is for you.

SIMPLE PUTT ENTRY.

Simple Putt entry changes from having to enter the exact distance (in feet or meters) of your first putt to only having to enter SHORT, MEDIUM, or LONG.

You will still get detailed breakdowns of your putting performance, but data entry is simplified into 3 buckets rather than exact distances.

Well... how do you define SHORT, MEDIUM, and LONG?

A good rule of thumb is as follows:

SHORT - any putt you feel like you SHOULD make. Generally, under 6 feet.

MEDIUM - any putt you would generally be TRYING to make. A 'makeable' putt. Generally, under 20 feet.

LONG - a putt where a great result is a 2 putt. Making it is a total bonus. The goal is to avoid a 3 putt. Generally, anything over 30 feet.

To enable Simple Putt entry, simply hit the profile button in the top left corner of the PAR Golf home screen to bring up your preferences. Under 'Tracking' turn Simple Putt to 'On'.
