If you're playing a course you've never seen before, standing on the teebox can be intimidating.

"Is there water over that hill?"

"What's on the other side of that bunker?"

"How much green is back there?"

With PAR Golf, it's easy enough to pull out your phone and dive as deep as you want to go, but sometimes you just need quick confirmation of a decision. Your phone may be back at the cart and while you could walk the 20 yards to get it... Wouldn't it be great if you didn't have to?

Now you don't. Introducing hole maps on your wrist with the Tangent golf watch app.

Swiping left and right on the watch screen changes between the various screens to get the information you need to confidently hit the next shot. At the far left is the new hole map. It shows you the simplified layers of the hole you are playing so that you can see upcoming hazards, bunkers and general layout. The next screen to the right is Point of Interest (POI) mode which will tell you distances to key landmarks that you saw on the hole map including distances to the end of the fairway, to bunkers, and to hazards. Then the main GPS screen shows you at a glance yardages to the front (red), middle (white), and back (blue) edges of the green. The next screen to the right is caddie mode which will give you an adjusted distance to the center of the green taking into account wind and elevation, including a suggested club based on your bag setup.
