Onboard-toilet

With Parkn'Sleep, hosts have the choice of whether campers need to be self-sufficient, i.e. carry an onboard toilet, when they want to visit the pitch. This is if, for example, a pitch does not provide infrastructure such as toilet facilities.

Campers are thus given the option of a great (self-sufficient) overnight pitch.

The following symbol indicates a pitch where only self-sufficient vehicles with onboard toilets are allowed:

The following symbol indicates a place where there is no need for an onboard toilet. WC facilities are open there 24 hours a day.

Don't panic for non-car owners: More than half of the Parknsleep providers provide toilets. The self-sufficient sites are mostly very remote natural sites or those in the centre with parking behaviour.

There is no control on the part of the host in this sense. It would not be legal to search a vehicle for carrying a toilet. We count on personal responsibility and respect. If someone does attract negative attention in this respect, the host can hand out a yellow card and both parties will be asked for a statement. In the event of a repeat offence, a vehicle registration number can be blocked in the system so that it is no longer possible to check in with the number.

Editor's comment:

When we talk about self-sufficiency, we do not mean power supply. But always the minimum sanitary facilities up to 48h.
