With Parkn'Sleep, it is possible to collect tourism taxes from campers directly via the platform - regardless of whether they are staying at sites run by municipalities or with private providers.

As a host, you can choose between the following three options:

1 Automatic billing directly to the responsible municipality (standard)

Any tourism tax / visitor's tax is paid directly by the camper to the responsible municipality or tourism organisation, which determines the price per overnight stay. If there is a tax in your area, the amount is automatically added and shown under the total price. As a provider, you do not have to take any further steps.

2 Manual billing via the host

This option is useful for providers who bill guests' overnight stays themselves (municipalities, hotels, campsites, etc.). The amount is shown under the total price. You have to settle the tourism tax yourself with the responsible municipality or tourism organisation.

Here you can choose between "Flat rate" and "Per person":

  • With "Flat rate", the flat rate amount is added to the total price.

  • With "Per person", the specified amount is multiplied by the number of persons checked in and added to the total price.

3 No settlement of the tourism tax

If this option is selected, the tourism levy is not charged. This is only permitted if an area is exempt from the levy. Or, for example, the pitch has been opened temporarily as part of events, festivals, etc.

The tourism tax is always excluded from the service charge.

The options can be selected in the overview under pitches and "edit".

Municipalities and tourism organisations can claim the tourism taxes at any time using this form . An amount and a payment account can be stored for each postcode. Pitch advertisements in the entire postcode region are thus automatically assessed and settled.
