When you are a Mentor in a community, your training and expertise gives you an important role of providing mentorship and guidance to learners.
To start assessing submitted coursework, look for the Mentorship and Feedback tab on the bottom-left hand side of your Home Feed.
Locate submitted coursework for review
All submitted coursework is located here --- you can search by keyword or by status (e.g., available for review, in-review, returned to learner, and credential awarded). Check out the example below to see how to search and/or filter for coursework.
Begin reviewing coursework
Once you've located coursework submitted for a course that you're mentoring, click on the card for that coursework to view the learner's submission. On the right-hand side, click the [Begin Review] button to claim this coursework for review.
You are now reviewing this learner's coursework! We encourage Mentors to communicate with learners, using the Mentor Chat, located on the right-hand side. Ask for clarification, encourage a new direction, or help your learner overcome a challenge! You will be notified when your learner responds to your chat message.
Award a credential
Once you can confirm that the learner has met all of the course learning objectives and achieved competency, then you're ready to award a digital credential. To award a credential just click on the [Award Credential] button on the right-hand side.
The new digital credential will appear on the learner's profile!
