How my commissions are calculated

Your partner commissions are calculated from the trading revenue generated by your referred clients. In the IB (Revenue Share) model, this revenue comes from trading commissions (fees) and spreads, and your payout is a percentage of that revenue based on your current status.

Important: commissions are calculated only on closed positions

In the dashboard you may see trading activity metrics such as turnover (order volume). Turnover can include activity from positions that are still open.

Commission and revenue share, however, are calculated only for closed positions. Open positions do not participate in commission calculation until they are closed.

Where the revenue comes from

Trading revenue includes:

  • Trading commissions (fees)

  • Spreads

Both spreads and fees can differ depending on the asset and market conditions, so revenue and partner commission can vary depending on what instruments and trading platform your referrals trade.

RevShare formula

Partner RevShare is calculated using this formula:

Commissions (spreads and fees) × Revenue share rate (based on your status)

Your revenue share rate is tied to your Partner status (tier), which you can monitor in the Your Status section.

Example calculation

  • Your referred clients generated $1,000 in weekly commissions (spreads and fees).

  • Your Status is Gold with a 45% revenue share rate.

$1,000 × 45% = $450 revenue share payout

Where to verify the numbers

  • Check the Dashboard for closed positions and commission totals for the selected period.

  • All position results can be found the Activity Report.

  • Check Your Status to confirm your current revenue share rate.

  • If anything looks unclear (for example, turnover is high but commissions are lower), remember that only closed positions are counted
