Use the Budgeting tool to set a total event budget, track spending by category, and keep your team aligned on costs. Each item added to your event automatically contributes to your overall budget, helping you stay organized and avoid surprises.

Let's take a look at how budgeting can keep your team stay on track and on top of the event's finances. For a video walkthrough of the budgeting tool, click the button below.

Navigating to the Budgeting Tab

This is your Event Dashboard. You can view a quick summary of your budget on the right, including how much you've spent and how much is remaining.

To open the full budget view, click Budgeting in the left-hand navigation menu or select the Budget module on the right.

My Budget provides a total estimated budget and helps you and your team stay aligned on costs for products, services, and venues. This is where you can review your event budget in detail, make adjustments, and keep track of expenses as they come in.

Adding and Editing Your Budget

Click the edit icon next to Total Estimated Budget to update your event's overall budget estimate.

Set or adjust your budget by entering a new amount in the Total Estimated Budget field.

Viewing and Filtering your Budget by Category

Use the Products, Services, & Venue tab to review or manage budget items by these main categories.

Filter your budget by category using the tabs at the top to focus on specific types of expenses. Items are automatically added to your Budget Tracker (and deducted from your Total Estimated Budget) when you add them on the My Selections page. For more on adding and managing items, check out the My Selections Overview guide.

The Miscellaneous shows budget items that don't fit into the product, services, or venues categories.

Adding Miscellaneous Budget Line Items

Use the Miscellaneous tab to track expenses that don’t fall into your Products, Services, or Venue categories. This is where you can add new budget line items for expenses that don't fit within the My Selections categories so you can keep track of miscellaneous expenses such as tips, permits, or last-minute purchases.

To add a new budget line item, click the Add button.

Enter the items name, cost, and any notes you want to remember.

Click Save to add it to your budget and update your spending overview.
