This article explains how to use the Foot Traffic Trend analytic that’s available in the centers section.
This article covers:
↳ Reading the data visualization
Above: The Foot Traffic Trend visualizing data from January 2019 onwards
The Foot Traffic Trend analytic displays an estimate of the visits to a center. As a times series graph, you can see how visits have changed over time.
By default it displays 15 months - the trailing twelve months and the next three months into the future:
Solid lines indicate historical visits
Dashed lines indicate forecasted visits
The x-axis displays months or quarters, while the y-axis displays the estimate of visits.
By hovering over a data point, you can see the absolute estimate of visits, a year-on-year comparison, and a comparison to the 2019 baseline value:

↳ Changing what data is displayed
Above: Using the date pickers
There’s two ways to change the data being displayed:
Editing the date range
Changing the aggregation
To edit the date range, simply click the start month and end month date pickers.
To change the aggregation, select Monthly and Quarterly buttons underneath the date pickers.
🛠Troubleshooting: Why does the graph look strange on quarterly aggregation?
Above: An example of a quarterly aggregation graph
If the graph has lower values at the start and end of the time series, it may be because the dates selected don’t match the quarterly aggregation.
Quarters match the Gregorian calendar, so Q1 is January - March; Q2 is April - June; Q3 is July - September; Q4 is October to December. Your graph will drop at the start if the start month is not January, April, July or October. Your graph will drop at the end if the end month is not March, June, September or December.
Match the months to the quarters to avoid this issue.
