How to Use Your PastorsLine Notification Settings
Every time someone texts your PastorsLine number, you will receive a notification in your Inbox. Same for your phone if you are using our mobile app. However, there are additional notifications you can use.
To find your Notification Settings…
Step 1: Go to the top, right-hand corner. Click the arrow under your name and picture. Then click on Notifications and the Notification Settings page will open.
You will now see all of your notification settings. **NOTE: This needs to be managed for each user. Changing these settings only affects your own notification settings.
First, under "Numbers To Follow", select the phone numbers you want notifications for.
You can select or unselect any of the numbers listed in the drop down list.
Next, you can choose to have on email notification, SMS notifications, or Push Notes (for our mobile app). **NOTE: Using SMS notifications cost credits to send you those notifications - email and push notes do not.
If using SMS notification, once toggled on, you will need to enter in the phone number you want those notifications to be sent to.
When someone texts your PastorsLine number(s), a notification will be sent to the number you have chosen. If the texter’s name is known, this will be included with the text message. If the name is unknown, the notification will be the phone number and the text message.
NOTE...this is a viewing option only. You will not be able to reply to them via this notification.
The email which will be used is the email in your PastorsLine profile. (See your Profile to view / edit that email)
When someone texts your PastorsLine number(s), a notification will be sent to your profile email. The email will show you the text message, the texter’s name, the texter’s phone number, and the PastorsLine number they texted to.
To reply to an email notification
RECOMMENDED: Click Reply online from the email to reply. You will be taken into your PastorsLine account Inbox for your reply.
The other option (NOT recommended) is to Reply via email: Delete all of the conversation history. Then, write your reply and send. This message will be sent as a text message to the sender. NOTE: If you do not delete your conversation history, it will all be included in your message and sent to that person and count as credits used.
Push Notes means you will received a push notification on the mobile app (You need to also check your own phone notification settings for the PastorsLine app in order to allow notifications).
External App Potential Duplicates Email Alerts:
This option send you an email when you have pending, possible duplicates waiting for you to match up using our smart syncing feature (this only applies when using integrated groups and only for owner and admin level users)
Automated Group Statistics Email Alerts
This sends you an email after you send a group message with a summary of statistics on successful, unsuccessful messages sent, etc.
Also, we have New Subscriber Alerts, and Low Credit Balance alerts you can edit.
Click Update to save your changes
