As a publisher using the Marketplace or Booker, we know you work hard to build your newsletter profile and provide advertisers with a fantastic sponsorship experience. That’s why we’ve created the Top-Rated designation to recognize hard work, help great newsletters stand out, and attract even more sponsors.

The Top-Rated badge highlights newsletters with a strong reputation on Paved that get positive reviews from sponsors, time after time:


Top-Rated Benefits

When you’re Top-Rated, we put a dedicated badge (👑) on your newsletter's Paved Marketplace profile. This badge lets sponsors know you have a proven track record of positive reviews from previous advertisers.

Become Top Rated

You earn Top-Rated status by building an impressive reputation on Paved. This includes a proven history of success with multiple sponsors, repeat bookings, and a high percentage of positive sponsorship reviews.

Achieving Top Rated status can help you grow your newsletter monetization and become even more successful. To become Top Rated, we recommend having these qualifications:

  • Stellar campaign performance with sponsors, with a high percentage of positive reviews and repeat bookings.

  • A 100% completed Paved profile.

  • Multiple positive sponsorship reviews.

  • An up-to-date sponsorship availability calendar.


How to Get Reviews

To get on the fast track to Top-Rated status, we recommend collecting reviews from previous sponsors and featuring them on your profile or Booker page:

1. Request Paved Sponsorship Reviews

If you've already completed a few sponsorships on Paved, well done! Next, you should request reviews from sponsors and feature them on your profile.

To request reviews from Paved sponsors, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to your Paved account and go to your Profiles page.

  2. Click the Options drop-down menu and select Manage Reviews.

  3. Click to request a sponsorship review.

  4. When the sponsor completes their review, go back to your Paved account, approve it, and mark it as “Featured” to display it on your Paved profile and Booker page.

Tip: You can also use the Chat function in your Paved Sponsorship Campaign dashboard to remind your sponsors to leave a review.

2. Get Reviews from External Advertisers

Haven't booked any sponsorships yet? No problem! You can request reviews from your newsletter's previous sponsors, even if they're not on Paved yet. We'll generate a shareable survey link for you.

To request a review from a sponsor outside of the Paved platform, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to your Paved publisher account and go to your Profiles page.

  2. Click the Options drop-down menu and select Manage Reviews.

  3. Click the Add Reviews button.

  4. Create your survey link, and click Generate Invite Link to copy it and share it with your advertiser.

  5. When the review is completed, go back to your Paved account, approve it, and mark it as “Featured” to display it on your Paved profile.


Publish Reviews on Booker and The Marketplace

After the positive reviews start rolling in, you're well on your way to becoming Top Rated. If you get an especially good 4 or 5-star review, we recommend adding it to your profile and your Booker page.

  1. Sign in to your Paved account and go to your Profiles page.

  2. Click the Options drop-down menu and select Manage Reviews.

  3. Click the Featured checkbox next to the review you want to share publicly.

Review FAQs

Can I choose which reviews appear on my Paved profile or Booker page?

Yes. Paved won’t display full advertiser reviews without your approval. After you approve reviews, you can choose up to 5 of them to feature.

Although featured reviews are optional, we highly recommend displaying them since they can increase conversions by up to 34%.

Are newsletter reviews anonymous?

Yes. When displaying reviews on your public Paved profile or Booker page, we do not show the sponsor’s name—only a generic description of the company.

For example, an advertiser review from Microsoft would display as a “Tech company review.” This anonymity encourages advertisers to share their opinions and speak freely.

What happens if I get a negative newsletter review?

You don't have to display them publicly.

However, negative reviews may impact your average rankings in the Paved Marketplace. If you need to boost your average review scores, we recommend reaching out to previous advertisers to request testimonials. Then, you can feature these reviews.

Also, you can consider offering makegoods or refunds for sponsorships that received negative reviews. When the advertiser’s issue is resolved, they may decide to update their review.
