When your Pawy meals arrive, storing them correctly keeps them fresh and preserves their nutritional quality. Here is the short version.
When your order arrives
Your box contains a small flyer with the full storage instructions. Check the meals are cold on arrival, then put them away straight away.
How to store them
In the fridge. Sealed meals keep for 7 days at around 4°C. Ideal for the meals you will use this week.
In the freezer. Sealed meals keep for up to 4 months.
Once opened. Finish the meal within 3 days, kept refrigerated. Reseal the packaging with a food clip or transfer it to an airtight container to keep it fresh.
Do not refreeze a meal once the sealed bag has been opened.
During a transition week
If you are mixing Pawy with your pet's current food, you will use part of a meal at a time. The 3-day rule still applies: once a bag is open, finish it within 3 days, refrigerated and resealed. Open one meal at a time rather than several at once.
Planning ahead
Keep a 7-day supply in the fridge and the rest in the freezer, moving meals across as you go. It makes the most of your storage space.
