Although our recipes already contain omega fatty acids, which are essential for cognitive health and reducing joint inflammation, we recommend an additional intake of omega-3 for our senior friends. This recommendation is intended to enhance the benefits of omega-3 well beyond the levels normally present in their daily Pawy meals.
Recommended omega-3 supplementation dosage for senior dogs
To maximize benefits, we recommend supplementing with an omega-3 EPA:DHA ratio of 3:1. Here is the recommended dosage to ensure optimal intake, which should be added separately to your dog's diet:
Seniors from 1 to 5 kg: 500 mg/day
Seniors from 5 to 10 kg: 1,000 mg/day
Seniors from 10 to 28 kg: 2,000 mg/day
Seniors from 28 to 42 kg: 3,000 mg/day
Seniors from 42 to 57 kg: 4,000 mg/day
Seniors from 57 to 70 kg: 5,000 mg/day
Seniors from 70 to 80 kg: 6,000 mg/day
