How to Record Your Screen on an Android Device

Most Android devices have a built-in screen recorder. Follow the steps below:

Method 1: Using the Built-In Screen Recorder

  1. Swipe down from the top of your screen to open the Quick Settings panel.

  2. Swipe down again to expand the full menu.

  3. Look for “Screen Record” or “Screen Recorder.”

    • If you don’t see it, tap the pencil/edit icon and add it to your Quick Settings.

  4. Tap Screen Record.

  5. Choose your recording options (e.g., record audio, show taps on screen).

  6. Tap Start.

  7. After the countdown, your screen recording will begin.

To Stop Recording:

  • Swipe down from the top of the screen.

  • Tap the Stop button in the notification panel.

Your recording will automatically save to your Gallery/Photos app.


If You Don’t See Screen Recorder

Some older Android devices may not have a built-in recorder. In that case:

  1. Open the Google Play Store.

  2. Search for “screen recorder.”

  3. Download a trusted app with good reviews.

  4. Follow the app’s instructions to start recording.
