How to Delete a Bank Reconciliation

Sometimes you may need to make changes to a reconciliation you've already completed. In these cases, you'll need to delete the old reconciliation before creating a new one.

When to Delete a Reconciliation

A common reason to delete a reconciliation is when you need to split a previously reconciled transaction into different expense categories. After splitting the transaction (via Transactions), you must re-reconcile it—which requires deleting your old reconciliation first.

Steps to Delete a Bank Reconciliation

  1. Navigate to the Bank Reconciliation page using either path:

    • TransactionsActionsBank Reconciliation, or

    • ReportsBank Reconciliation

  2. Locate the reconciliation you need to delete. You can use the search bar or filters to find it.

  3. Click ActionsDelete.

Once you've deleted the reconciliation, you can proceed with creating a new one.
