How to Activate a Spend Card

This article explains how to activate a spend card your HOA has issued to you, from your homeowner portal.

Activating Your Spend Card

When your HOA issues you a spend card, you will receive an email with the card details and a link to activate it. If your card is a virtual card, you can activate and use it instantly. If it is a physical card, you will need to wait until it arrives in the mail before activating it.

  1. When your card is available, select the option to activate your card.

  2. Confirm all of the details related to your card, including your legal name, billing address, and contact information.

  3. Enter your date of birth so that Stripe can confirm your identity before activating the card.

  4. If you have already created a PayHOA account, you can skip the create password step. Otherwise, set up your password.

  5. Agree to the user terms for the card, then activate it.
