See a video of how to do this here.
Navigating to the Importer
Click Budgets in the left-hand navigation.
Click Chart of Accounts in the upper right corner.
Open the Actions menu and select Import.
Preparing Your File
Before you upload, make sure your spreadsheet is formatted in one of the accepted file types (CSV, XLS, XLSX).
From the upload screen, click the sample file link to see an example of the accepted format:
Match your spreadsheet to that format for the smoothest import.
Uploading Your File
Click on 'upload file' to browse for your file, or drag and drop the file directly into the box.
Wait while the system analyzes your file. This usually takes a few seconds.
Mapping Your Columns
Once the analysis finishes, you'll land on the mapping screen.
Review each imported field and confirm it's matched to the right column header.
Adjust any column header that isn't mapped correctly.
Click Start Import in the bottom right corner.
The import takes a few seconds to process. When it's done, you'll see a green success banner. Click through to return to the chart of accounts, where your imported records will be listed.
Updating Your Chart of Accounts Later
The importer stays available after your initial import, so you can come back to it any time you need to revise records in bulk.
Go back to the Actions menu and click Import.
Upload your revised file. The system maps it the same way it did the first time.
Review the mapped fields to confirm your updates were detected correctly, and make any changes you need.
Click Start Import.
When the import finishes, return to the chart of accounts to see your updated records.
