Gable is already available to admins to help run your association. You can also make it available to your homeowners so it can answer their questions and help them take actions in the homeowner portal. You can ask Gable to set this up for you, or follow the steps below.

Open AI Chatbot Settings

  1. Go to Other Tools.

  2. Select AI Chatbot Settings.

Choose where Gable appears

From AI Chatbot Settings, you can see every place the AI chatbot appears to homeowners:

  • Homeowner Portal: available only to homeowners who are logged in.

  • Website: your public association website, which anyone on the internet can see.

Choose what Gable uses to answer questions

Gable always uses the PayHOA knowledge base to answer homeowner questions. You can also give it your own community documents:

  1. In the documents section, choose a document you've already uploaded to Documents, or upload a new one.

  2. For each document, choose whether it's available only to your homeowners or also to your public website.

Customize the Gable experience

You can also customize:

  • Welcome message: how Gable greets homeowners when they start a chat.

  • Association name: how Gable refers to your association.

  • Behaviors: whether Gable offers a handoff to a person, links to help articles, or shows source citations.

Test Gable

From AI Chatbot Settings, you can test how Gable responds on both your homeowner portal and your public website. Try asking the kinds of questions your homeowners are likely to ask, so you can check that Gable is using the right documents before they start chatting.

View Gable activity

Once homeowners start using Gable, you can come back to AI Chatbot Settings to see:

  • Number of conversations

  • Number of questions answered

  • Average response time

  • Homeowner satisfaction rate
