Understanding the statuses for emails, text, and mailings in the communication log

Queued- (Email) Preparing to send to clients inbox.

Processed by PayHOA - Your request has been sent to the third party provider. Sendgrid for email, Lob for USPS mail and Twilio for phone and sms.

Delivered - (Email) The client's email server has accepted the email.

Open - (Email) The client has opened the email.

Sent - (SMS, Call) Your SMS/Call was successfully sent without error.

Deferred - (Email) A deferred status can occur when an ISP or mailbox provider is for some reason not ready to accept email from your IP address. Instead of blocking or bouncing the message, the provider will defer or temporarily delay receiving the message and wait for the email to be resent.

Click - (Email) The client has opened the email and clicked on one of the links provided in the email.

Processed - (Email) Sendgrid has accepted the email but has not sent to the client yet, or the client server has notresponded to inform us that the mail was delivered yet.

Bounce - (Email) A bounce is a message that is returned to the server that sent it. Bounced emails are either a permanent failure to deliver the email or a temporary failure to deliver the email, based on conditions with the recipient mail server.

Dropped - (Email) If an email address has previously been on a unsubscribe list, spam report or bounced multiple times. Sendgrid will drop the email due to expected failure.

Failed To Send - (Email) Did not attempt send of email due to user not having an email address at all, or not having a properly formed email address.

Statement sent via Lob - (Statement) Statement has been submitted to LOB for mailing and reported that both addresses are accepted and will be mailed.

Failed to send paper statement - (Statement) Statement was submitted to LOB but failed due to bad TO/From address.

Spam report - (Email) End user has marked the email as spam in their mail client.

Failed - (SMS, Call) Your SMS/Call failed.  Typically due to unreachable or non-existent phone number.
