Integrations are connections between different software systems that allow them to work together and share data automatically. With PaySauce, integrations enable you to have your payroll software communicate directly with other business tools you use, such as:

  • Financial management/accounting software - to automatically sync payroll entries and financial data

  • Time and attendance (timesheeting) systems - to import employee hours and attendance records

  • Banking platforms - to process payments seamlessly

  • IRD - to handle tax filing

These integrations eliminate the need for manual data entry between your systems, reducing errors and saving you time.

Accounting/financial management tools

An integration with your accounting or financial management tool connects PaySauce data straight to where you are managing your finances. This connection allows data to automatically go where you need it in the format you need it in, including:

  • Wages and salary expenses

  • Tax deductions and liabilities

  • Employee allowances, deductions and benefits

By using one of these integrations, you eliminate the need to manually enter payroll data, reducing the risk of errors and saving valuable time. The integration ensures your financial records are always up-to-date with the latest payroll information.

Here’s our guides on setting up an integration with these partners:

Banking integrations

A banking integration is a secure connection between PaySauce and your bank that allows for automatic payment processing. It enables direct communication between PaySauce and your bank account to handle transactions like employee wages, IRD payments, and processing fees.

Banking integrations help streamline your payroll process by:

  • Automating payment transfers

  • Reducing manual data entry

  • Ensuring secure transactions

  • Processing payments to employees and IRD efficiently

See our Payment options for managing your payroll article for details on how our integrations work with supported banks.

IRD integration

An IRD integration is a secure connection between PaySauce and the Inland Revenue Department (IRD) that enables automatic payday filing of employment information.

Key features of the IRD integration include:

  • Automatic submission of payday filing reports to IRD when pays are processed

  • One-way integration that only grants authorization for PaySauce to send payday filing data to IRD (does not provide access to other myIR information)

  • Required for employers who process payroll through PaySauce but handle their own IRD payments

To use this integration, employers need to connect their myIR credentials with their PaySauce account. This allows PaySauce to submit employment information electronically while maintaining the security of the employer's myIR account.

See our How to integrate with myIR articles to learn about integrating with the IRD.

Timesheet

A timesheet import lets you transfer employee time and attendance data from external systems directly into PaySauce for payroll processing. This streamlines your workflow by eliminating manual data entry and ensuring accurate payments based on actual hours worked.

With timesheet imports, you can:

  • Import hours worked, break times, and job codes automatically

  • Apply different pay rates and allowances based on the imported data

  • Minimize data entry errors and speed up payroll processing

  • Keep comprehensive records of employee time and attendance

We offer general instructions and file specifications for importing data from any timesheet software, plus detailed guides for our integration partners.

We have developed a powerful importing engine which allows basic time and attendance data to be captured up to complex costing across numerous tags. A number of Time and Attendance providers have adopted our format to support our shared users. Some businesses may have the capability to customise outputs themselves and can follow our specifications set out here.
