If a late fee appears on your invoice, it was assessed by your manager, not by PayYourRent. PayYourRent applies late fees based on the rules and guidelines your manager has established for their properties.

When Tenant Action Is Required

You should take action if:

  • A late fee appears on your invoice, and

  • You have questions about why the fee was applied

When No Action Is Required

No action is required if:

  • You have already discussed the late fee with your manager

What Late Fees Mean

  • Late fees are determined and assessed by the manager

  • PayYourRent applies late fees according to the manager’s established rules

  • PayYourRent does not independently decide when late fees are applied

What to Do About a Late Fee

  1. Contact your manager directly to discuss the late fee

  1. If the manager agrees to waive the fee, the manager can remove the fee directly or contact PayYourRent to provide authorization if assistance is required

Important Notes

  • Late fees apply when rent is considered late based on the manager’s rules

  • Returned or rejected payments may result in late fees, even if the original payment was submitted on time

  • Managers can remove late fees directly from invoices

  • PayYourRent cannot waive late fees without direct authorization from the manager

When to Contact Support

Contact Support only if:

  • Your manager has approved waiving the late fee, and

  • The manager has contacted PayYourRent to request assistance
