When an athlete creates a new training plan in the middle or end of a week, this can throw off the common weekly training cycle split.

Bridge weeks help eliminate awkward timing of workouts on days throughout the week.

Often, athletes will start their training week on a Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday. That is when the first workout of the standard training week should be complete. This will often be a lower body strength day workout.

To help athletes stay on track with Garage Strength’s weekly training style, a bridge week may be added to the beginning of your training plan if you create a new program any later in the week than Tuesday.

These will be workouts similar to the rest of your training plan, but optimizes the weekly training schedule for your training plan.
