Calculating the cost of goods sold in New PEAK (NI008)

Updated over a year ago

In the case that a business uses the FIFO inventory system for normal buying and selling operations (not pre-order business), recording a sales transaction before a purchase transaction can cause the cost of goods sold recorded in the system to not reflect the actual cost of goods sold.

Therefore, PEAK program provides a function called "Recall COGS (Recalculate Cost of goods sold)" to accurately calculate the new cost of goods sold.

Step 1: Go to the "Products" menu >> "Product/Service" >> "Overview" >> Select the product category >> Select the product code you want.

Step 2: Select the "Movement" tab >> "Purchase and Sales" >> click on the Action button >> select "Recal COGS".

Step 3: Select the From Date and To Date for calculating the new cost of goods sold as required. Then click "Calculate"
