How to record sessions in Pencil Spaces?
In Pencil Spaces, you have the ability to record a call session, with or without any participants. While recording, you also have the option to record your whiteboard. If a screen is being shared, that can also be recorded along with your whiteboard.
β
βRecording on your device
To start recording on your device, click on the 3-dot menu below your video feed
βFrom the menu, click on Record
βHere, choose Record on your device
βHere you could choose to share your Entire Screen, Window, or a single tab. Once chosen, click on Share.
βOnce recording starts, you will see the following indicators on your screen suggesting that recording has started.
βTo stop recording, either click on the Stop sharing button or, click on the 3-dot menu and choose Stop Recording
βHere you can choose to Pause Recording or Stop Recording completely.
βOnce the recording stops, a pop-up will appear on your screen. Here, you can choose to save it on your computer, or you can choose to save it on both Pencil Files and your computer for easy access. Once done, click on Save.
βYour file will be successfully saved to your Computer / Pencil Files.
Recording on Cloud
Recording on cloud is especially helpful because it comes with a lot more additional features. You can easily share the recorded session with students or other hosts with just a link. Recording sessions also help Pencil AI generate summaries of a session, which can then be directly emailed to the participants as session notes.
