When you start or join a call in Pencil Spaces, the video box is shown on the right side of the screen by default. There are a variety of video views that you can change between.
One of the options we now offer is Pop Out Video.
*Note: When you turn on pop-out video, there may be a momentary interruption in any call audio, video, screen share, or recordings. In addition, when you activate pop-out video, it does not automatically activate for any of your participants.
1. Activating Pop-Out Video
To access this feature, click the 3 dots on the video toolbar. When hovering your mouse over the 3 dots, it should say "More".
This will open up a list of options.
Once pop-out video has been activated, you will see that the video call in Pencil Spaces has been collapsed to only include the toolbar and that the video feeds (including my video and screen share) are floating around the screen.
You can move between tabs, windows, or other programs while still having the video pop out on your screen.
2. Moving and Resizing Pop-Out Video
To move the video pop-out around your screen, simply click and drag. To resize the pop-out, bring your mouse to a corner of the pop-out and click and drag in and out.
3. Disabling Pop-Out Video
To disable pop-out video, hover over the video pop-out and click "Back to tab". You will immediately be brought back to Pencil Spaces, and the video call will go to its original position to the right of the whiteboard.
