If you would like to restrict participants from moving around or editing tools on your whiteboard, you can lock the item. Once you’ve placed an item on your whiteboard, be that an image, text, drawing, or other item, participants have the capability of making changes to it. If you would like to avoid changes being made to the whiteboard, you can lock the entire board or an individual item.

If you would like to learn how to lock your entire whiteboard, restricting any changes to it, please read the following article: How To Use Leader Mode and Whiteboard Lock Tool in Pencil Spaces.

How to lock an individual item on your whiteboard:

First, click on the item you would like to lock, revealing the item's toolbar. For this example, we are going to be looking at a shape placed on the whiteboard.

Navigate to the “Lock Object” icon and click on it.

Now the object will be locked and no one will be able to make any changes to it. This is not a permanent change, however, and can be reversed by selecting the lock icon hovering over the object.
