🕊️ Reporting a death of a Penny Pension member

Deceased Penny Pension member

Written by James

We’re very sorry for your loss. If someone you know has passed away and held a Penny Pension, please let us know as soon as you can. We’re here to support you and will guide you through each step during this difficult time.

How to let us know

Email us at support@pennypension.com.

What to include

Please send us as much of the following as you can:

  • Your full name, relation to the member, contact details and address

  • A certified copy of the death certificate

Don’t worry if you don’t have everything yet. Just get in touch and we can take it from there.

What happens next?

Once we’ve been told, we’ll freeze the account and work with Quai, the administrator of the Penny Pension Scheme, to start the process for any claim for funds you may wish to make. We’ll check whether the member nominated a beneficiary, then contact you to explain the next steps and any required forms.

We may ask for more documents, such as proof of identity or a grant of probate. We’ll always explain what we need and why. 📝
