Age 55 πŸŽ‰.

The government wants to make sure you use your pension strictly for when you're retired, so the money in your pension pot is locked away until you reach age 55. After that, you can withdraw as much of your pension as you want. For example, you could take your pension money all at once on your 55th birthday, or take it gradually each month.

We recommend you talk to a financial adviser before withdrawing your pension.

Please Note: On April 6th 2028 the retirement age is increasing to 57.
