Baldwin’s Conversion FAQs

In this article, you'll find answers to common questions about what to expect before, during, and after the upcoming conversion, including key dates, potential impacts, and steps you can take to prepare.

When will I be able to login to the Perchwell system?

Baldwin REALTORS® MLS will start a parallel period April 6, 2026 where 1 of 3 groups will receive access to the Perchwell system. Group 2 will gain access May 4, 2026, and Group 3 will gain access June 1, 2026. Groups were created to allow BR MLS and Perchwell staff to give the most attention to newly onboarded members and have been chosen by office. Click here to see which group your office is in. During the parallel period you will be able to login to both systems however, listing maintenance will only be available in Paragon until the full conversion August 3, 2026

How were the Parallel Groups Selected?

The BR MLS membership was divided into three groups for the parallel onboarding process. The first group consists of offices who currently have individuals who are giving their time to serve on the BR Association and BR MLS Board of Directors. Groups two and three were randomly selected through an AI process. Click here to see which group your office is in.

Will training be required before I can login to the Perchwell system?

Yes. Every MLS participant and Administrator will need to complete a basic online Perchwell training session before they will be allowed to login to the new Perchwell system.

Additional details will be available as we get closer to the parallel period.

Will all listing history be brought over to the Perchwell system?

Yes, BR has listing data starting in 2006 and all listing history will be brought over to the new Perchwell system. Please keep in mind that older listings may not contain all the data they do today. The older listings were created in the Navica system where some information might not have transferred over to Paragon, as well as some information was not required or being asked for.

Bottom line is all the listing data will be transferred to the Perchwell system.

Will the clients I have saved in Paragon transfer over to the Perchwell system?

Yes. Any clients along with their information will be transferred over to the Perchwell system. You will not need to do anything additional for this information to transfer.

If you want complete peace of mind, Paragon allows you to export your clients and their information to store in a file, but please remember this is not necessary or required.

Will my saved searches transfer to the Perchwell system?

All saved searches made available by Paragon will be imported into Perchwell and linked to contacts. However, the migrated searches will require review by all Baldwin members for two reasons:

  1. Arbitrary Filter Elimination: As of April 20th, 2026, the saved search information made available to Perchwell by Paragon unpredictably drops certain search filters, corrupting the integrity of your saved search data.

  2. Filter Translation: The Baldwin REALTORS® MLS team is upgrading the structure of your listing database to align with modern best practices adopted across the industry and RESO (Real Estate Standards Organization). As a result, certain filters do not cleanly translate between systems (e.g. grouping “Other” property types under “Residential - Single Family”).

Despite these two challenges, your saved searches will nonetheless appear in Perchwell upon first login, marked for manual review with the prefix of [From Paragon: Unreviewed] in the name of the search in Perchwell. You will be able to open, update these saved searches in Perchwell, and remove the label by changing the name as they are reviewed.

What kind of training will be available for the Perchwell system?

We offer a mix of online, in-person, and virtual training to help you get up and running quickly—from a short certification to hands-on sessions and ongoing learning opportunities. You’ll also have continuous support available through multiple channels.

Check out the Conversion Center to view the full schedule and sign up for sessions.

If I setup a client with a saved search in Perchwell, do I need to delete or inactivate their search in Paragon?

Yes, if you plan to enable email alerts in Perchwell, Paragon alerts will continue until the final cutover. To prevent your client from receiving duplicate emails (one from each system), you must disable the Paragon search if you activate the Perchwell search.

Please note: Perchwell alerts are off by default. You can safely set up the search in Perchwell now and simply leave the alerts disabled until you are ready to make the switch.

To stop notifications in Paragon from the Paragon Homepage click on Contacts, then View or Manage Contact, then click on the contacts name. On the menu on the left side of the screen click on the search you wish to inactivate or delete click on Remove Search and select Remove Search from Contact or Delete.

If you need help, please contact the BR MLS Department at 251-270-0328.
