Data Migration Best Practices

To ensure a smooth transition to Perchwell, follow these recommended steps as your cohort begins:

1. Get Started Immediately

Complete your training as soon as your Cohort begins and log into Perchwell right away. Begin using the platform by:

  • Adding contacts

  • Saving searches

  • Collaborating with clients

  • Creating Hot Sheets

Note: Contacts and saved searches are only migrated at the beginning of your cohort, so early engagement is key.

2. Review and Update Contacts - all contacts will be uninvited on Perchwell

  • Ensure all contacts have valid email addresses

  • Invite any contacts you would like to collaborate with directly on Perchwell

3. Review Saved Searches - all search alerts will be disabled

Saved searches must be reviewed because some filters are either dropped or restructured during migration due to MLS data standardization and system upgrades, which can impact search accuracy and results.

  • Review each saved search for accuracy.

  • Once verified, remove the “From Paragon: Unreviewed” prefix
