You shouldn't need to create too many reservations in the dashboard if you have a good strategy for managing walk-ins. However, they will still happen and you need to add them into your dashboard so that the table they are at is blocked off.
1. Click on the purple "+" icon in the lower right-hand corner
2. Enter the guest's information & credit card
- If the guest is a walk-in ➡️ click "Save & Mark Seated"
- If the guest is calling in for a future reservation ➡️ click "Save" and the reservation status will be marked "Upcoming"
