Configure system settings (firm title, logo, language, branding, email options)

Learn how to configure system settings in Performance Leader including branding, language customisation, email options, security settings, and key documents management

This guide walks you through the essential system settings that allow you to customise Performance Leader to match your firm's brand, language preferences, and operational needs. We'll cover everything from uploading your logo and setting brand colours to configuring security options and managing key documents.

Setting up branding

The branding settings allow you to customise the platform with your logo, brand colour, and client name, creating a consistent experience across user profiles and fixed headers.

  1. Navigate to Settings in the main menu

  2. Click into the General area

  3. Select the System Settings tab

  4. At the top of the page, upload your client logo

  5. Set your brand colour (this will appear in fixed headers and user profiles)

  6. Enter your client name

  7. Save your changes

Configuring email settings

Control how emails appear when sent from the platform, including the sender name and reply-to address.

  1. In the System Settings tab, scroll to the email configuration section

  2. Set the From Name that will appear on emails sent from the system

  3. Specify the email address where replies should be directed

  4. Save your changes

Managing security and access

Two-factor authentication adds an important layer of security to your platform. You can control how this is implemented across your user base.

  1. Scroll to the Security and Access Settings section

  2. Choose your two-factor authentication setting:

    • Permit: Users can choose to enable it

    • Suggest: The system prompts users to set it up

    • Force: All users must enable it

Note: Admin users are always required to set up two-factor authentication

Customising language and labels

Tailor the platform's language to match your firm's terminology. You can customise labels that appear in the navigation menu, and changes take effect immediately.

Steps:

  1. Scroll to the language customisation section

  2. Update the Home/Dashboard label if desired

  3. Customise the Key Documents label (for example, changing it to "Support and Help Resources")

  4. Save your changes

  5. Refresh the page to see updates applied immediately in the navigation menu

Setting analytics targets

Define what constitutes low, medium, and high engagement in your organisation. These standards appear in direct reports pages and leadership views, helping managers understand team engagement at a glance.

Steps:

  1. Scroll to the Analytics Target Settings section

  2. Set your thresholds for low, medium, and high engagement

  3. These settings will determine how engagement is displayed in the engagement table

  4. Save your preferences

Uploading key documents

Make important resources easily accessible to your users by uploading documents to the Key Documents tab. You can choose whether documents are publicly visible or require a link to access.

  1. At the top of the System Settings page, locate the Key Documents section

  2. Choose whether to upload a Public or Private document:

    • Public documents: Immediately available to all users in the Key Documents tab

    • Private documents: Only accessible via direct links (useful for sensitive content or documents embedded in specific reviews)

  3. Upload your document

  4. If uploading a private document, copy the link to embed it where needed (for example, in a review charter or guide)

That's it! You've now configured the core system settings for your Performance Leader platform. If you have questions about any of these settings or need additional support, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager.
