Add or remove users against a training diary jurisdiction

Learn how to add or remove users from training diary jurisdictions in Performance Leader. Step-by-step guide for admins to manage user assignments efficiently.

This guide walks you through adding and removing users from a training diary jurisdiction, whether you're working with individual users or managing bulk assignments.

Accessing user assignments

Before you can add or remove users, you'll need to navigate to the right place in your training diary settings.

  1. Access the Training Diary module through the admin section to reach the training diary dashboard

  2. Select the training diary jurisdiction you want to manage users for

  3. Click Configure to enter the jurisdiction settings

  4. In Setup Areas, find the Users row and click Assign

The Assign Users to Jurisdiction dialog opens with two lists: Unassigned Users on the left and Assigned Users on the right, each showing a running count. Both lists have their own search box and Department, Role Profile, and Location filters, plus an A–Z rail down the side for jumping through a long list.

Removing users from a training diary

There are two ways to remove users, depending on whether you need to remove one person or several at once.

Removing individual users

  1. Find the user in the right-hand list (Assigned Users), using the search box if it's a long list

  2. Click their row — clicking is what selects them, and they move straight across to the unassigned list on the left

Removing multiple users

  1. Use the search box and the Department, Role Profile, and Location filters above the assigned list to narrow it to the users you want to remove

  2. Click Remove All at the foot of that panel — the button shows the number it will affect, which is however many users the panel is currently showing

Adding users to a training diary

Just like removing users, you can add people individually or in bulk.

Adding individual users

  1. Find the user in the left-hand list (Unassigned Users), using the search box if it's a long list

  2. Click their row — they move straight across to the assigned list on the right

Adding multiple users

  1. Use the filters above the unassigned list to display a specific group (for example only a particular role profile, or only people in one department)

  2. Click Assign All at the foot of that panel — as with Remove All, the button shows how many users it will add

Once you've finished adding or removing users, don't forget to save your work.

  1. Click Assign Users to finalise your changes — until you do, moving people between the two lists doesn't change anything

  2. Assigned users will now be able to see this jurisdiction in their training diary module and can begin adding training records

That's all there is to it. Your users now have the access they need to keep their professional development records up to date.

Note: User assignments can also be managed by restricted Training Diary admins, not just Super Admins. See Set up restricted admin access for Training Diaries to grant this access.
