Whether you're setting it up for the first time or refining your configuration, you'll learn how to activate the debriefs module, customise settings, configure email notifications, and set up helpful prompts for your users
Enabling the Debriefs module
Before your team can start creating debriefs, you need to activate the module in your system settings.

Click Save
The new name will appear in your navigation and throughout the system
Configuring language settings

Decide whether users can change the default status themselves
Customise the email subject line and body text to suit your firm's tone
Click Save when you're satisfied with your settings
Configuring empty states
Empty states are what users see when they first access the Debriefs module. Clear, encouraging messaging helps users understand what to do next.
In the module configuration screen, select Configure empty states
Review the default language that appears when users have no debriefs yet
Edit the text to match your firm's voice and provide clear guidance
Click Save to apply your changes
Adding a page alert
Page alerts appear as banners at the top of the Debriefs module—perfect for reminding users about deadlines or highlighting important information.
From the module configuration screen, locate the page alert section
Click Add page alert
Enter your alert message (for example, "All Q1 debriefs due by 31 March")
Choose whether the alert should be dismissible by users
Click Save to publish the alert
Once you've completed these configuration steps, your Debriefs module is ready to use. You may also want to create debrief templates tailored to your firm's specific needs, such as matter close debriefs, pitch debriefs, or quarterly practice reviews.
