Reporting overview: navigating analytics across modules

Learn how to navigate analytics and reporting across all Performance Leader modules. This guide covers setting date ranges, applying scope filters, reviewing engagement data, and using AI-powered insights to track activity and extract meaningful trends.

Understanding your team's engagement and performance data is crucial for making informed decisions. This guide walks you through the analytics and reporting features available across all Performance Leader modules—from Fast Feedback to Objectives to Reviews.

Accessing analytics for any module

Analytics and reporting are available across all modules in Performance Leader, with a consistent interface that makes it easy to switch between different types of data.

  • Navigate to Manage Apps in your admin menu

  • Click into the module you want to review (e.g., Fast Feedback, Objectives, Reviews)

  • Select the Analytics and Insight tab

You'll see the analytics dashboard with various reporting options and filters at the top of the page.

Setting your date range and scope

Before diving into specific reports, you'll want to define the time period and population you're analysing. These settings will apply across all report types within the module.

  • Use the date range selector at the top of the page to choose your time period (e.g., last 12 months, current quarter)

  • Click on Set scope to filter by specific populations

  • Choose your scope criteria—you can filter by department, role, or location

  • Select the specific values you want to include (e.g., Associates and Senior Associates only)

  • Apply your filters and watch the data update dynamically

The date range and scope you set will be maintained as you navigate between different report types, making it easy to explore various views of the same population.

Exploring different report types

Each module offers multiple report views to help you understand different aspects of engagement and activity.

  • Use the report type selector to switch between available reports

  • Start with the Overview to see high-level metrics and key statistics

  • Switch to Activity and Engagement to view trends over time and see how users have interacted with the platform

  • Explore module-specific reports—for example, the Objectives module includes an Objective Alignment Matrix

As you switch between report types, your date range and scope filters remain in place, allowing you to compare different metrics for the same population.

Reviewing engagement data and insights

Once you've set your parameters, scroll down to review the detailed data visualisations and charts.

  • Look for overall activity levels within your selected date range

  • Review how different user groups have engaged with the platform

  • Click on individual charts to drill down into more detailed information

  • Look for sentiment analysis where available (e.g., in the Fast Feedback module)

Many charts are interactive—hover over data points for more details or click on chart elements to explore further.

Using AI-powered quality reports

If your organisation has AI features enabled, you'll have access to powerful analytical tools that can help you extract insights from your data automatically.

  • Look for the Quality Report or Smart Analysis option in modules where AI is available

  • These reports use AI to identify trends, themes, and patterns in your data

  • Review AI-generated summaries of feedback sentiment and key topics

  • Use these insights to inform your people strategy and identify areas for focus

Reviewing analytics across different modules

The analytics interface works consistently across all modules, though each offers unique report types relevant to its function.

  • Fast Feedback: View feedback volume, sentiment analysis, and engagement trends

  • Objectives: Review objective completion rates, alignment matrices, and goal-setting activity

  • Reviews: Track review completion, rating distributions, and cycle progress

  • Training Diaries: Monitor training hours, competency coverage, and compliance

  • Check-ins: See check-in frequency, completion rates, and engagement patterns
