People (lens)

An employee-by-employee table for the selected review cycle — AI performance level, development area, sentiment, perspective alignment.

The People lens is the “list view” of the cycle. Every employee with an extracted review gets a row. Use it to find a specific person, sort the cohort by a signal, or filter to a subset.

What this page answers

Who’s been reviewed this cycle, and at a glance how did they land — what level, what’s their growth area, how do they feel, how aligned were they with their manager?

What’s on the page

One table with one row per employee

Columns:

  • Name: clickable, opens the employee detail popup

  • Department

  • AI Performance: Compass’s performance level, colour-coded (Exceptional, Strong, Solid, Concerning, Critical, Insufficient Data)

  • Development Area: the primary development area Compass identified for this person, free-text label

  • Sentiment: Compass’s sentiment score (−1 to +1), colour-coded

  • Perspective Alignment: the self-awareness gap (Aligned, Over-rater, Under-rater, Mixed, Insufficient Data)

Filters

The table has its own filters in addition to the workspace-wide ones:

  • AI Performance: checkbox multi-select across the six performance levels.

  • Development Area: checkbox list of the top 20 most-common development areas in the cycle, with a search box. Other development areas (outside the top 20) still appear in the table; they just don’t appear as filter options.

Combined with the workspace department / role / location filters, you can quickly slice to (e.g.) “everyone in Audit rated Strong+ with a development area around delegation”.

Where the data comes from

Every column on this page is produced by the review extraction job. Compass reads the review and emits:

  • Performance level

  • Primary development area (free text)

  • Sentiment score

  • Self-awareness gap

The page just lays these out as a list.

How to read it

  • Use it as a hand-off list. Sort by AI Performance descending to start with your top performers; sort ascending to start with your concerns.

  • Filter to a development area to spot training cohorts. If 20 people share “delegation” as their primary development area, that’s a candidate for a group programme rather than 20 individual conversations.

  • Click into someone you’re curious about. The employee detail popup gives you the full Compass synthesis for that person.

What about employees without extraction data?

People who don’t have AI extraction (no completed review with PDF this cycle, or extraction not yet complete) are excluded from the table. The page subtitle shows “{N} employees with extraction data” so you know what your denominator is.

If you expect someone to be here and they aren’t:

  • Check their review is actually complete and the PDF is generated

  • Check whether extraction is still queued (the queue status banner on the Introduction page will tell you)

Tips

  • The Development Area column is free text. Compass picks the wording, which means “delegation”, “delegation skills”, and “ability to delegate” might all show up as separate rows in the filter. The search box helps you group them together.

  • Sort by Sentiment ascending to find people whose reviews read most negatively — often a useful “have a conversation” list.

  • Combine this with Talent Grid. People view tells you who; Talent Grid tells you where they sit. Both views run off the same extraction data.
