Imported data attributes are custom, single-value data points you attach to users and reference flexibly in reviews and remuneration workflows — for example feedback scores, moderation notes, or quality-and-risk ratings. (For how these compare with financial tables, see Financial tables vs imported data.) This guide shows how to set up the fields and bulk-import their values.
Creating import fields
Import fields live in Attributes, organised into groups (for example "Partner Data" or "Moderation meeting").
Go to Settings → Attributes
Select Import Field Group from the category list
To add a group, choose Add Import Field Group, enter a name and click Add
Within a group, add each field (for example "Feedback score" or "Rating outcome") and set its type
Use the pencil icon to rename a field, the trash icon to remove it, and the drag handle to reorder
You must create the fields before you can import data against them.
Importing the data
Once your fields exist, upload their values in bulk.
Open Utilities → Data Utilities
On the Review and RemCom data import card, click Launch importer
In the Employee Review Data Importer, click Download Sample Template — its columns are your configured import fields, keyed by Employee ID
Populate the template, upload it, then work through the wizard's four steps (Upload File → Map Columns → Edit & Validate → Import) — the same flow as the other importers
Click Import Data to apply
Using imported data in reviews
Because each imported field holds a single value, you can place it anywhere in a review template — inside a question, a prompt, or a summary. Configure your review template to reference the imported fields where you need them.
