Inconsistent Suction Between Pumps

Addressing and understanding the varying sensations between two different Perifit Pumps

Updated over a year ago

All Perifit Pumps go through quality control to make sure that the suction level falls within a specific range. However, it is possible to feel minor differences between pumps. If the difference feels very large, try the following steps:

  1. Check your alignment: are all parts fitted snugly together? Is the diaphragm pressed firmly into the back of the hub? Did you forget the duckbill valve? Are the holes at the end of the flange lined up top and bottom like they should be?

  2. Make sure all of your parts are dry

  3. Replace your parts: the silicone duckbill valve and diaphragm are parts that need to be replaced regularly. Depending on how often you pump and how you clean your pump parts, the duckbill valve may need to be replaced monthly or every few months.

  4. If you have tried all of this and you still feel like one of your pumps is not working properly, contact our customer support team
