Understanding your subscription

How does Perplexity Enterprise pricing work?

Enterprise pricing is per seat (user), and you’re only billed for your active team members, so it’s straightforward to scale as your team grows or shrinks.

We offer two pricing tiers:

  • Enterprise Pro: Each seat is $40 per month or $400 per year (a 20% discount versus monthly subscriptions)

  • Enterprise Max: Each seat is $325 per month or $3,250 per year

Discounts may be available for larger teams (250+ members), schools, universities, not-for-profit organizations, or government agencies.

Which payment methods can I use?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard and AMEX), bank/wire transfer (when choosing the option during checkout), and invoice billing for annual subscriptions. Additional payment options may be available depending on your region.

For larger organizations (250+ users), white glove invoicing support is available.

Get in touch if you have specific needs or questions.

Are there higher usage limits for Enterprise plans?

Usage limits are the same for both Enterprise and Perplexity Pro users.

However, Enterprise Max provides significantly enhanced limits including practically unlimited Research and Labs queries, up to 10,000 personal files and 5,000 files per Space, plus 15 video generations monthly. Organizations can mix Enterprise Pro and Max seats based on user needs.

The main differences between Enterprise and consumer plans (Perplexity Pro and Perplexity Max) are not in usage limits, but rather in organizational features. Enterprise plans include additional collaboration and data security capabilities.

Do Enterprise plans include API access and credits?

No, API usage is not included with Enterprise Pro or Enterprise Max. Users who need API access must purchase credits or top off their balance with a valid payment method. Note that administrators cannot manage API credits for other users. API organizations (API Groups) can be set up.

Can I consolidate billing in one invoice?

Billing for Enterprise seats in a single organization is consolidated in one invoice.

Please note that if you purchase Sonar API credits, these will be billed separately.

Can I get an invoice or pay by wire transfer?

Yes, you can pay by invoice and/or bank or wire transfer when you select this option during checkout.

For teams of 250 or more users, get in touch for white glove support.

Do you offer trials?

We do not offer trials for Enterprise Pro or Enterprise Max.

I’m based in a country where the VAT reverse charge mechanism applies. How do I include my VAT number in my invoices?

When you create your Enterprise organization, you will have the ability to add your VAT ID to enable the VAT reverse-charge mechanism. You can also add it at any point in the Enterprise subscription portal.

If you have received invoices without the VAT reverse charge mechanism applied, please get in touch and we’ll be able to help.

Managing your subscription and billing

I made an accidental purchase. Can I get a refund?

If you’ve made an accidental purchase or need help understanding any charges on your account, please get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.

How can I add or remove users?

Admins can add or remove members from the organization anytime. You can learn more here.

What happens when I add or remove users?

Adding a user will result in a prorated charge based on the remaining time until your plan renews, and removing a user triggers a prorated credit that will be applied at the next renewal. The system always checks for available credits and uses them before charging your payment method. These adjustments happen immediately. It’s always a good idea to remove users first and then add new ones to ensure your credits are applied on the next invoice.

I have created an organization but I can’t use Enterprise features

To activate Enterprise features, your organization’s administrator must pay for all the seats provisioned.

If payment has been made and your organization can’t use Enterprise features, get in touch and we’ll investigate this.

How can admins manage or review billing?

Admins control all payments and billing for the organization. Your billing adjusts automatically if you add or remove seats. To see more details, check our article about managing pricing and billing.

I have added or removed users, but my billing has not updated

When you add users to your team after setting up your organization, these license adjustments will update your billing. These changes are processed on a weekly basis for monthly subscriptions, and on a monthly basis for annual subscriptions.

Once the changes are processed, you will receive a prorated charge or credit based on the remaining time until your plan renews. At the next renewal, you will be charged for the total number of seats your organization has at that time.

Do you offer educational or non-profit discounts?

  • A certificate for non-profits

  • Proof of administrative authority within your educational institution
