How to Access your Account Info and Settings
You can access your Account Info and Settings by clicking on your Profile icon on the bottom left of your screen and selecting a category from the menu. Clicking on a category will navigate to the main Account/Settings pages where you can review and make changes.

My Account
Under My Account you can change your profile picture and username, and view your account details like your email.
Please note, changing the Full Name and email attached to your account is currently not supported. If you need to transfer your Pro subscription to a different account, please get in touch with pro@perplexity.ai for help.
Managing your subscription
Clicking the “manage subscription” button will open up a new window where you can upgrade or make changes to your subscription information.
Preferences
Appearance: You can choose between light or dark theme, or you can match the interface to your system's theme.
Language: The interface language is inferred from your browser and operating system settings but you can change the language by selecting an option from the drop-down menu.
Preferred response language: This allows you to select the AI’s response language.
Autosuggest: Enable this feature for autocompletion of your search questions
Homepage widgets: You can toggle on/off widgets (the little information boxes that show on your Perplexity homepage). Widgets are based off the selection you make under Watchlists (found on the Personalize settings page)
AI preferences
Model: The AI model selector now lives in the Search input box (if you click on “Choose here” we will direct you to the selector). To learn more about the latest models offered please see this article.
Image generation model: Select the model you want to use for image generation, like Dall-E 3 or GPT Image - 1.
AI data retention: Enabling the “AI Data Usage” feature allows for your search data to be used to improve Perplexity’s AI models (Sonar). If you prefer to exclude your data from this process, simply turn off this setting. Note: None of your search data will ever be shared with a third-party service, wether you chose to have AI data retention on or off.
Personalize
This settings page allows you to personalize your Perplexity experience even more.
Introduce yourself: You can write a short or long bio to tell the AI a bit more about yourself. This info is used to personalize responses based on your unique preference and info.
Location: Enabling your location allows us to provide you with accurate weather and sports info. You may have to enable this at the browser settings level first to give Perplexity permission to access this data.
If you don't set a location in your profile, responses will be based on your network location.
Notifications: Control notifications for when your Research search has completed running or when your daily finance summary is ready.

FAQ
Can you transfer my data to another account?
We cannot transfer data from one account to another. However, if you’d like to keep your Threads, you can add them to a Collection and invite yourself as a collaborator on the new account.
Can I use Perplexity in Incognito Mode?
Yes, you can switch to incognito mode by clicking on your profile icon in the bottom left corner of the interface and selecting "Incognito" from the menu. Searches in incognito mode are never stored.
Note: If you are not signed into Perplexity, your threads are anonymous by default, so there is no need for incognito mode.
Can I change my email address or sign-in method?
We are unable to change email addresses for existing accounts or create passwords on behalf of our users. If you must change accounts, we suggest you create a new one.
If you have an existing Pro subscription, you can have it transferred to a new Perplexity account by emailing pro@perplexity.ai.
Why is my AI profile criteria not being applied to Perplexity’s responses?
There are technical limitations to what assistants and models can do with custom instructions. It is not possible to "fine-tune" models through the AI profile or add documents or images for reference.
If you do feel that a response is inadequate or inaccurate, despite having filled out your profile info with the right details, please contact us at support@perplexity.ai with some examples and we’ll investigate.
