What you need

  • A link from your teacher (click it, or copy and paste it into your browser).

  • An email to sign in: use your school email (recommended). You can use a personal email if your teacher allows. Sign in with Google or Microsoft.

Join the class / assignment

  1. Open the link your teacher shared. (Click it, or paste it into your browser.)

  2. You’ll land on the Getting Started page for the course.

  3. This action enrolls you in the assignment and connects you to your teacher.

Start your assignment

  1. On the Getting Started page, find the assignment card and click Start.

  2. You’ll enter the Writing Workspace.

  3. The Assignment Instructions appear immediately; you can close and reopen them anytime using the Assignment Instructions button in the bottom toolbar.

Use the Writing Workspace

  • Editor toolbar (top): formatting options like fonts, bold/italic, lists, alignment, and more.

  • Due date (top right): Check when the assignment is due

  • Writing area: type your essay directly on the page.

  • Panels (bottom bar): Use the buttons at the bottom to open or close Assignment Instructions, Files, Comments, and Assistants (if enabled by your teacher). Open a panel when you need it; hide it to give yourself more room to write.

Bottom toolbar & panels

From the bottom of the workspace you can access:

  • Assignment Instructions

  • Comments

  • Files

  • Save

  • Save History

  • Word Count

  • Submit Draft and Submit Final

Saving & History

  • Autosave: Your work saves automatically while you write.

  • Save (manual): Click Save in the bottom toolbar any time for extra peace of mind.

  • History: Click History (right next to Save) to view and restore earlier versions of your writing.

Submitting your work

  1. When you’re ready to share progress, choose Submit.

  2. Once you click Submit you can choose to either submit draft or Submit Final.

  3. Your teacher will see your submission in their grading view.

Come back later

  • You can return to the same link to re‑open your assignment and keep working.

  • Or go to personifyai.app in your browser. If you’re signed in, your dashboard shows all your courses and assignments so you can jump back in from there.
