    • Open the Grades report for that course.

    • A CSV file containing the grades will be downloaded to your computer.

Importing Your Personify Grades into Canvas

  1. Log in to Canvas:

    • Access your Canvas account.

  2. Go to the Matching Course:

    • Navigate to the course in Canvas that corresponds to the one in Personify.

  3. Open the Grades Report:

    • Go to the "Grades" section within the course.

  4. Import the CSV File:

    • Click the "Import" button in the top right corner of the Grades page.

    • Choose the CSV file you exported from Personify.

    • Match Students and Assignments:

      • If student names don’t match exactly, Canvas will prompt you to either map the student to an existing one or ignore the row. For students not yet in Canvas, you'll need to create a new student in Canvas first.

      • If assignment names don’t match exactly, Canvas will allow you to map the assignment to an existing one, create a new assignment, or ignore the row.

      1. Confirm the Import:

        • After successfully completing the import, return to the Canvas Grades page to confirm the changes.

      2. Troubleshooting:

        • If you don’t see any grades, make sure that both the course itself and all assignments are published in Canvas.

        • Remember, a course can have individual parts published, but if the course itself is unpublished, no grades will appear on the grading page.
